Abstract

MYOGLOBINURIA after acute interruption of the arterial supply to a limb has been reported in 2 patients, with thrombotic1 and embolic2 arterial occlusion, respectively. Despite the intense recent interest in the surgical treatment of acute arterial occlusion, we have been unable to find further reports of myoglobinuria secondary to this condition.
