Abstract
Idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy (IDC) is associated with changes in myocardial gene expression which affect cardiac myocyte size and function. Treatment with β-blockers is associated with reduced mortality, reverse remodeling, and improvement in ventricular function. However, the timing of changes in myocardial gene expression relative to remodeling is unclear.
