Abstract
The article presents the evolution of the Ukrainian political thought through the analysis of the main elements of the two political doctrines – integral-nationalist and conservative-monarchical from the 20s and 30s. The author tries to prove that the political thought of Ukraine can be understood as the evolution of certain doctrines and political theories ie collective views on the political life of the Ukrainian society and the principles of coexistence among its members, and in the end will look at the power in the country, its political system, organization and function.

Summary
CS „Badać Ukrainę można z punktu widzenia legendy i rzeczywistości: tak, jak chcemy, żeby było, lub tak, jak jest w rzeczywistości”[1]. Nie określając wprost swojego stanowiska co do kształtowania w przyszłości etnicznego albo politycznego ukraińskiego narodu, Sciborski рodkreślił, że w swojej orientacji ukraiński nacjonalizm jest na wskroś realistyczny. Podstawą narodu jest przede wszystkim jedność terytorialno-polityczna, stąd głęboko emocjonalny stosunek Łypyńskiego do własnej ziemi, głębokie przekonanie, że właśnie ziemia stanowi podstawę postrzegania świata. 14 Zob.: Idem, Листи до братів-хліборобів про ідею і організацію українського монархізму. Dla Łypyńskiego mianowicie przewaga w życiu politycznym przedstawicieli różnych scenariuszy określa strategię przetrwania społeczeństwa: „W każdym politycznym fakcie należy rozróżniać dwa momenty: ideologiczną nadbudowę, co jest produktem teoretycznego myślenia i składa się pod wpływem panujących w daną epokę teorii, oraz podłoże materialne – sposób życia i pracy danej grupy – które ten polityczny fakt i ideologię determinuje”[15]. Ukraiński naród jest jednym narodem, chce się nawet powiedzieć – jednym organizmem, toż i należy jemu stać się nieprzerwanym narodowym wytworem”[22]
