Abstract

Reflective practice is pivotal in ensuring the implemented process of teaching and learning are effective and benefits the students. Through the implementation of reflective practice, all weaknesses and strengths of the educators can be identified and action for improvement can be planned. However, previous research found that majority of educators only reflected on whether or not, in the process of educating, the teaching objective is achieved and other non-critical issues. It is probable that this is due to inadequate exposure in implementation of reflective practice amongst educators and the lack of time for teachers to provide for reflective practice. Realizing the ongoing problems, a mobile software has been developed. The software, known as My Reflection Mobile App was developed based on the Reflection Focusing on Pedagogical Content Knowledge Teaching Model. This software is potential in assisting educators to implement a better reflective practice. It contains detailed information on the implementation of reflective practice in the teaching and learning process. Educators who implement reflective practice using this software will also be able to share the issues they are facing with their mentors and fellow educators. The use of this software has indirectly help the educators to implement a critical reflective practice and thus successively improved the implemented teaching and learning process.
