Abstract

Based on concatenating iteration, multiple complementary sequence sets which are orthogonal each other are proposed. Each complementary sequence set of the constructed multiple sets is composed of multiple complementary sequences with each complementary sequence containing a flock of element sequences. The complementary sequences in the same complementary sequence set possess ideal auto-correlation and cross-correlation properties while the complementary sequences from different complementary sequence sets have zero cross-correlation value at zero shift, where correlation function of a complementary sequence is equal to the sum of correlation functions of its element sequences. Compared with the tradition complementary sequence set whose set size is smaller than or equal to flock size, the proposed mutually orthogonal sets of complementary sequences (MOSCS) can provide much more complementary sequences since MOSCS comprise multiple sets. As a result, multi-carrier CDMA systems employing MOSCS can accommodate more users.
