Abstract
This paper presents a low-cost, planar two-port circularly polarized MIMO patch antenna with polarization diversity. Three grounded stubs together with a mirrored F defected ground slot are used to achieve simultaneous matching and isolation between the two patches. The simple offset feeding has been utilized to achieve circular polarization. The proposed antenna covering 2.5-2.55 GHz is fabricated and measured. Its measured performance show that S <inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">11</inf> < -10 dB, S <inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">12</inf> < -20 dB and axial ratio < 3 dB for the whole band. The radiation patterns and gains are measured and an agreement with the simulation result has been achieved.
