Abstract

A compact printed dual element antenna system is presented here as an ideal candidate for WLAN system. The antenna comprises of two parallel oriented monopoles. A parasitic element has been introduced between the two radiators as a decoupling structure to realize a good isolation performance between them. The desirable radiator and diversity performances are ensured by simulation and / or measurement of reflection coefficient, radiation pattern, realized peak gain, envelope correlation coefficient (ECC), diversity gain(DG), and channel capacity loss (CCL).
