Abstract

Summary The tuberculostatic agent isoniazid (INH) was checked for mutagenicity in two mammalian test systems, in the host-mediated assay and the dominant lethal ystem. It could be demonstrated that isoniazid was mutagenic in the host-mediated assay, but in the dominant lethal test a mutagenic activity could not be ascertained. Furthermore, hydrazine proved to be mutagenic in the lost-mediated assay.
