Music reduces pain and anxiety associated with local anesthesia for dermatologic procedures: A randomized controlled trial

To the Editor: Local anesthesia is commonly used in dermatologic procedures but is painful and increases patient anxiety. Psychological interventions may be effective at reducing needle pain and anxiety; however, further study is required.1 This study evaluates the effect of a classical music intervention on patient pain and anxiety associated with local anesthesia injection for non-Mohs dermatologic procedures.
