Abstract
The special focus of this column, which celebrates the fiftieth anniversary of the Music Library Association, was set forth in the June issue (Notes 37 [1981]: 864). The undertaking is now continued; through an investigation of the holdings of several large music libraries and suitable bibliographic sources, a profile of music periodical collections in research libraries in 1931 begins to emerge. The guiding principles for the inclusion of titles in this survey were stated in the June issue:
