Abstract
A technique of muscle tendon repositioning to create an anterior lingual sulcus to enhance denture retention is presented. It is based on previously developed surgical procedures. While clinically we do not know the ultimate location of the genioglossus and geniohyoid muscles, we do know that at no time was the patient's ability to speak, swallow, or manage food affected adversely.
