Abstract

The Manuscript “Where the State Estate was. To the history of the collective farm «Bolshevik», Bayram-Ali District of the Turkmen SSR” by G. I. Karpov is represented in the Article. G. I. Karpov, a statesman of the Turkmen SSR and an ethnographer, headed the team of Authors of this Manuscript. The circumstances of writing the Manuscript and its structure are described in the First Part of the Article. The prevailed in the Russian Empire “colonial” point of view on the role and significance of the Murgab Estate is presented in the Second Part of the Article. Critical anti-colonial assessments and conclusions of G. I. Karpov about the organization of the Murgab Estate are opposed to the Imperial point of view. The Authors of the article analyze the Narratives on this issue from the point of view based on the modern scientific concepts connected with the essence of the Imperial concept and anti-colonial discourse.
