Abstract
The Nottingham muon detector at Haverah Park has shown up events which contained an unexpected close grouping of muons at large distances from the cores of extensive air showers (EAS). This paper is concerned with the detailed analysis of these events. The results are considered in relation to similar groupings observed near the core of showers by the Moscow State University group.
