Abstract

The chief features of a proposed municipal code (for the city of Oakland, California), covering all radio stations, are given, together with the basis of each regulation. The induction of radio and audio frequency surges in power and telephone lines is then considered; and a particularly complex case of both sorts is described in detail. The methods of investigation and elimination of trouble are discussed. Finally, some methods for the elimination of the hum induced in radio receivers from power lines are described.
