Abstract
A novel multiwavelength SOA ring laser and a linear cavity multiwavelength laser are proposed and demonstrated experimentally. Stable multiwavelength lasing operation with about 100 GHz channel spacing is achieved with both lasers. Up to ten stable lasing wavelengths with an OSNR greater than 40 dB are obtained with an equalized peak power. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
