Abstract

The objective of this research was to evaluate the multivariate effect of organic and inorganic fertilizer mixtures on growth of Lactuca sativa L. For this purpose, a complete multivariate randomized design was performed, with 5 replicates in 20 parcels, to which the treatments were randomly distributed. The data on the number of leaves per plant and the height of lettuce was obtained at harvest in the study field where the experiment was conducted. The compliance with the basic assumptions of normality and multivariate homogeneity of the experimental residuals was significantly demonstrated, evidencing the adequacy of the model. Likewise, the levels of organic and inorganic fertilizers had significant effects on the number of leaves and height of the lettuce plant collectively and individually.
