Abstract
The fuzzy multivalued dependency is defined on the lines of classical multivalued dependency to resolve the redundancy and inconsistency in fuzzy databases. The implication problem of fmvd's has been examined and a set of sound and complete inference axioms has been proposed. We next examine lossless join problem of fuzzy relations in the presence of fuzzy functional depandencies and fuzzy multivalued dependencies and obtain decomposition of relation schemes.
