Abstract

AbstractMethods of linear algebra are applied to (a) the problem of determining whether detailed balancing for some or all stages of a chemical process is implicit from the existence of steady state for some or all of the chemical species involved, and (b) the formulation of general concentration‐type equilibrium relationships solely from kinetic considerations and the assumption of full detailed balancing.
