Abstract

This paper proposes a multi-satellite spectrum allocation algorithm based on graph coloring theory (MSAABGCT) for the cognitive satellite networks, where the primary users (PU) and the secondary users (SU) are satellites. The system model of cognitive satellite communication is set up, and the framework of the model and the spectrum allocation algorithms are analyzed. Firstly, we model the satellite orbit and obtain the current orbit model, namely the near-point model and the far-point model. Then according to different satellite orbit models, to obtain the optimal allocation strategy under any operating model, the available spectrum is allocated to users based on graph coloring theory. The simulation results show that compared with the traditional algorithms, MSAABGCT can not only improve the earnings of cognitive satellite networks, but also provide good fairness of the system.
