Abstract

The transition from potentials to field strengths in the hamiltonian and the decomposition of the current density into polarization fields permit us to solve the problems of the spacedispersive crystal optics: a derivation of Maxwell's substitutive equations for a dielectric condensed media; the applicability of the Kramers-Kronig relations to the linear dielectric response; derivation of the generalized oscillators strength sum rules for the case of the inhomogeneous media.
