Abstract

In this paper, a multipoint temperature sensor based on Fabry Perot interferometer (FPI) with an array- waveguide grating (AWG) is proposed. The FPI is formed by welding a section of hollow core fiber (HCF) to the end of single mode fiber (SMF), and filling with PDMS polymer in the HCF. The AWG is used as a multiplexing and demultiplexing unit. The experimental results show that the proposed sensor has good performance. The average sensitivity of the three channels is -0.854dB/°C in the temperature range from 30°C to 40°C.
