Abstract

The manufacturing industry sector is an economic sector that provides the largest contribution to the national economy so that the performance of the manufacturing industry greatly affects overall economic performance. Industrial sector investment is currently required to be located within industrial estates in order to improve efficiency, organize space, manage the environment and optimize the multiplier effects on other economic sectors. This study aims to analyze the multiplier effects of increased investment in the manufacturing industry sector in industrial estate on the performance of the transport/logistics sector. The analysis model uses the Social Accounting Matrix (SAM) Model, which is an effect multiplier analysis. The results of the research show that the increase in investment in the manufacturing industry sector located in the industrial area provides a multiplier effect on improving the performance of the transportation/logistics sector in the form of increased transportation/logistics sector revenues.

PENDAHULUAN

Sektor industri pengolahan saat ini merupakan sektor dengan kontribusi terbesar terhadap perekonomian Indonesia, sehingga sektor industri ini sering disebut sebagai motor penggerak perekonomian nasional. Peran penting kawasan industri sebagai lokasi investasi di Provinsi Jawa Barat terhadap peningkatan perekonomian Provinsi Jawa Barat merupakan suatu indikasi bagi pemerintah untuk menjamin ketersediaan lokasi industri di setiap wilayah yang memiliki potensi untuk dikembangkan industri pengolahan. Sedangkan keuntungan lokalisasi merupakan keuntungan dalam bentuk penghematan biaya transportasi, baik untuk bahan baku maupun hasil produksi, yang timbul karena berlokasi secara terkonsentrasi dengan perusahaan terkait lainnya dalam sebuah pusat pertumbuhan. Keuntungan eksternal ini selanjutnya akan menjadi faktor pendorong pengembangan produksi dan sekaligus menjadi daya tarik yang cukup besar bagi industri lain untuk masuk dan berlokasi dalam pusat pertumbuhan industri. Perusahaan industri di dalam kawasan industri secara teroritis memberikan keuntungan yang sangat signifikan berupa diperolehnya tingkat efisiensi produksi dan menjadi daya tarik sektor lain untuk berlokasi di kawasan industri. Dalam rangka menunjukkan peran penting investasi industri pengolahan di kawasan industri secara kuantitatif terhadap kinerja sektor ekonomi lainnya, khususnya pada sektor pengangkutan/logistik, maka perlu dilakukan analisis multiplier efek peningkatan investasi sektor industri pengolahan di kawasan industri terhadap kinerja sektor pengangkutan/ logistik
