Abstract

The phenomenon of strangeness enhancement, originally proposed as a signature of quark-gluon plasma formation[1, 2], has received considerable new interest following recent observations in small collision systems[3]. LHCb is uniquely well suited to study such effects in the heavy quark sector and in the forward region. One such advantage is the ability to measure event activity using estimators that are geometrically inclusive and geometrically distinct from the signal region, thus providing insight into local particle density dependencies. Here we present results on multiplicity-dependent to B 0 cross-section ratios in pp collisions at TeV[4]. The ratio is measured to increase with local particle density for low momenta ( PT < 6 GeV/c).
