Abstract

The bistability and multiplexing performance of a Ferroelectric Liquid Crystal with high spontaneous polarization in the bookshelf geometry has been investigated. Such an approach allows for a high contrast switching. The bistability sticking effect is found to be predominant in the static properties but is negligible in the multiplexing regime.
