Abstract

Surface related multiple elimination (SRME) method based on wave-equation and multiple suppression method based on filtering are widely applied in seismic data processing area, but they both have different advantages and disadvantages. The former has high calculation cost and strict request for sampling geometry. While the latter can not process underground media with complex geological structure. In order to make the best use of these two methods, in this paper we consider combining wave-equation-based prediction method with hyperbolic Radon transform. First we use SRME method to realize multiple prediction, then transform original seismic data and prediction multiple to hyperbolic Radon domain. Design a reasonable and effective adaptive filter according to the image of prediction multiple in hyperbolic Radon domain. After filtering, we can obtain records with multiples only then perform inverse hyperbolic Radon transformation. Finally subtract multiples from total wavefield data and we can obtain the multiple suppression result. In the paper, we test the combination method on one shot record and SMAART model, the suppression effects are obvious. The combination method overcome disadvantages of each other, so that high accuracy multiple suppression can be realized.
