Abstract

Transcutaneous oximetry (Tc Po2), laser Doppler flowmetry (LDV) and arterial Doppler index (DI) have been used to predict healing in 20 patients with chronic leg ulcers. This study showed that patients with improving or healed ulcers had significantly higher Tc Po2 levels adjacent to the ulcer ( P < 0.02) and lower LDV ( P < 0.05) and a tendency to higher DI than worsening or static ones.
