Abstract
REPORT OF A CASE A 12-year-old Indian girl, from Puerto Inirida in the comissary of Guainia in the Colombian Orinochian jungle in South America, presented for evaluation of asymptomatic oral lesions of approximately 1 year's duration; the lesions were initially noted on the mucosa of the lips, but they progressively extended to other areas of the oral mucosa. The girl was otherwise in good health, and her medical history was essentially normal. According to her relatives, many members of their tribe, especially children, had similar ailments, some with lesions even more prominent. Findings from the physical examination revealed numerous irregularly distributed, sharply circumscribed, rounded or ovoid firm papules with a slightly corrugated surface.
