Abstract

This research is a follow-up study of the roadmap made in 3 years. This research aims to find out the concept map and the level of mechanical engineering students' multiple intelligences in improving welding competence. The research method used is a survey. The research was conducted at the Department of Mechanical Engineering Education, Faculty of Engineering, Yogyakarta State University. The study was conducted from February to July 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research subjects were undergraduate study programs in Mechanical Engineering Education, bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, and Diploma IV in Mechanical Engineering. The results of the research are students of S-1 Mechanical Engineering Education with Interpersonal Intelligence (77.66%), Intrapersonal (74.35%), Kinesthetic (72.68%), Logic-Mathematics (71.81%), Verbal-Linguistics (71.28%), Visual-Spatial (70.36%), Musical (68.93%), Naturalist (60%), and Existential (57.78%). Diploma IV Mechanical Engineering Students with Existential Intelligence (80.90%), Interpersonal (79.69%), Intrapersonal (75.87%), Visual-Spatial (73.96%), Logic-Mathematics (71.70%), Verbal-Linguistics (71.15%), Kinesthetic (71.12%), Naturalist (70.31%), and Musical (67.41%). Manufacturing Engineering Undergraduate Students with Musical Intelligence (75%), Existential (74.73%), Logic-Mathematics (73.04%), Verbal-Linguistics (72.31%), Interpersonal (71.64%), Intrapersonal (71.64%), Kinesthetic (71.54%), Visual-Spatial (67.60%), and Naturalist (65.32%).
