Abstract

Considering the fact that received signal strength of WIFI is vulnerable to environment that caused the low accuracy of location, a multi-information fusion indoor location algorithm based on WIFI and improved pedestrian dead reckoning (PDR) is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the WIFI location is used to get initial position. Then, the precise position is further calculated by the improved PDR algorithm based on the initial position. In the PDR algorithm, an adaptive step detection based on time window and dynamic threshold is used to count the steps. Finally, the extended Kalman filtering algorithm is used to fuse the results of WIFI location and improved PDR location. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm have higher accuracy and better stability compared with WIFI and PDR location.
