Abstract

We have reported a case of multiple epiphyseal dysplasia (MED) that was misdiagnosed for many years as bioinactive growth hormone disorder. The condition was misdiagnosed because of its rarity and the physicians' lack of familiarity with it. MED should be considered in the differential diagnosis of a child with short stature and delayed growth. Close follow-up of a patient receiving growth hormone is necessary.
