Abstract

The study is concerned with the problems of H∞ performance analysis and controller design for networked control systems with multiple communication channels. The idle communication channels are made full use to compensate the negative influences of time delay and packet dropout. By defining new Lyapunov functions, linear matrix inequality-based H∞ performance analysis and controller design are presented, and the merit of the proposed design methods lies in their less conservativeness, which is achieved by avoiding the utilisation of bounding inequalities for cross products of vectors. The simulation results illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed multiple communication channels-based time delay and packet dropout compensation.
