Abstract
The evolution of the LEED patterns of Te on W(110) with coverage — as determined by AES —is studied and compared with the thermal desorption behaviour and the work function change. It is found that the unit mesh dimension change continuously with coverage, except for narrow discontinuities in which commensurate structures occur. Several binding states are observed in which the desorption energy varies continuously with coverage.
