Abstract

Chorangiomas are common non-trophoblastic placental tumours. They are usually small, solitary and clinically insignificant, although large chorangiomas have been associated with adverse maternal and fetal complications. Multiple chorangioma syndrome is a rarely reported phenomenon and defined as numerous chorangiomas ranging from small early precursor lesions to typical chorangiomas occupying up to 80% of the placental parenchyma. This syndrome has been associated with placentomegaly and similar adverse maternal and fetal outcomes to large chorangiomas.
