Abstract
Multiple behavior therapy techniques were administered to a case who engaged frequently in forcible sexual assaults. Imaginal and video desensitization, behavior rehearsal, covert sensitization, orgasmic reconditioning and covert positive self-assertion were utilized jointly in an attempt to decrease assaultive behaviors and urges, and to increase positive heterosocial and sexual behaviors. Both of those objectives were reached and maintained over a two-year follow-up. Emphasis was on self-monitoring and self-control since the treatment sessions delivered instructions rather than engaged in detailed practice.
