Abstract

The nucleation of the superconducting phase has been analyzed by solving the linearized Ginzburg - Landau equation in cylindrical coordinates. The orbital quantum number L degeneracy of the lowest eigenvalue h ̷ ω 2 is used to construct in the vicinity of the H c2(T) boundary the multiquantum vortex solution which is the linear combination of the concentric vortices with L=0, 1, 2, 3, … and it gives the parameter β A lower than that for the ordinary triangular flux lattice. The origin of the irreversibility line and crossover from the multiquantum concentric to the Abrikosov vortex state are discussed.
