Abstract

Adiabatic saddle-point method is applied to the problem of electron detachment from negative ions by few-cycle linearly polarized laser pulses. We examine the positions of the saddle points in the complex time plane and their contributions to the photoelectron spectra for different intensities and carrier-envelope phases.
