Abstract

Calculations of SF 6 multiphoton absorption spectra have been extended from 1 K to 10 K. This has been achieved by selecting the states that are most strongly coupled to the incident radiation on the basis of their proximity to resonance and of their dipole coupling strength. The predicted effects show increasing concordance with experiments at higher temperatures.
