Abstract

Multiphase motor has many advantages compared with Three-phase motors, but the high harmonic content of multiphase motor phase current is a important factor restricting the development of the multiphase motor. This paper researched the PWM modulation method and vector control strategies and studied the harmonic problems of the multiphase motor control system, tried to find an effective way to suppress the harmonic current. Firstly, in the aspect of PWM technology, this paper studied the Carrier-based multiphase PWM technology, this kind of PWM technology has low harmonic content, simple algorithm, and very suitable for multiphase motor control system. Secondly, this paper presents a harmonic plane vector control strategy that can control the harmonic current. Finally, this paper toke the 15-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor for example, combined the Carrier-based multiphase PWM technology with the harmonic plane vector control strategy and simulated the system. Simulation and experiment result confirmed that the PMW technology and the harmonic plane vector control strategy that this paper present are principle feasible, the algorithm is simple, can effectively control the harmonic content of the current.
