Abstract
A new multipath interference cancellation (MIC) scheme is proposed and studied for multicode CDMA systems. The proposed MIC scheme can be divided into two sections: firstly, successive multipath interference cancellation for obtaining initial data estimation, and secondly, parallel multipath interference cancellation to further enhance the accuracy of data estimation. BER performance of the proposed MIC scheme is evaluated and compared with the parallel interference cancellation (PIC) scheme in J Chen et al. (2002) using simulation. New simulation results show that the MIC scheme achieves improvement in BER performance than the PIC scheme in J Chen et al. (2002).
