Abstract
AbstractA conventional proportional integral derivative (PID) controller has three independent adjustable parameters, which can be used to meet requirements of closed-loop systems in aspects of stability, speed and accuracy. For an unstable first-order plus delay time (FOPDT) process, parameters of the PID controller are optimized with the maximum complement sensitivity, damping ratio and the integral gain which are special selected for above requirements. Simulation results show that the proposed approach is an effective method for unstable FOPDT processes with different time-delay ratio and its corresponding closed-loop systems have proper robustness stability and response performance.KeywordsUnstable processFOPDTPID controllerMulti-objective optimized
