Abstract

In today’s world where resources like water which are essential for our livelihood are becoming depleted. Moreover, as the quality of these resources is deteriorating day by day; a problem of major concern which needs immediate actions and proper solutions so that our current and future needs get satisfied. But now it’s high time to optimize the utilization of these resources with proper allocation with many conflicting objectives of cost of applying these techniques, increasing revenue by keeping in mind the environmental change, geographical, variation in climate, human needs, and the capacity and availability of these resources. This chapter focuses mainly on modelling based on sustainable water resource management with the help of multi-objective optimization techniques, Posteriori Methods, with aim to create a linear mathematical model for the proper allocation of water resources mainly groundwater at a minimum cost and increased revenue with respect to physical, environmental, biological, and economical constraints like availability of water resources, demand of water, budget constraint, climatic change, and agricultural use.
