Abstract

In this paper, a multi-objective linear fractional stochastic transportation problem is presented. The supply and demand parameters of the said problem follow logistic distribution. The proposed problem cannot be solved directly using mathematical programming approaches. For solving the proposed problem, initially, the random constraints are transferred into equivalent deterministic constraints using a chance constraint method. Then, the multi-objective fractional transportation problem is transformed into a simple multi-objective transportation problem using an equivalent transformation theorem. Finally, a goal programming method is used for solving the deterministic multi-objective mathematical model. The methodology has been illustrated by a numerical example.
