Abstract

The production of elements close to the superheavy island of stability, with $Z>100$, is one of the most appealing challenges in nuclear physics. Based on a stochastic extension of the time-dependent Hartree-Fock theory, this article presents accurate microscopic calculations of multinucleon transfer for the ${}^{250}$Cf+${}^{232}$Th system at ${E}_{\mathrm{c}.\mathrm{m}.}=950$ MeV. Isotope production cross sections are described without any adjustable parameters, thus providing a benchmark to new experimental searches.
