Abstract

In a low-carbon passive unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) network, the received signals can be utilized for energy supply, communication, and sensing. However, these multimodal functionalities may be interested in different components of the received signals which causes multimodal interference. The interference from the dominated modal limits the performance of other modals and UAVs’ flight flexibility. We take advantage of location-aware flexibility and propose multimodal interference compatible approaches to achieve the coexistence of multimodal utilization and enlarge UAVs’ fight feasible region. In addition, a preinstallation of localization method with fewer sources is proposed to guarantee the implementation of multimodal interference compatible approaches.
