Abstract
This article describes a survey where the need for applications in adult learning has been analysed and some ideas have been collected for possible products that can be produced by the Virtual Multimedia Factory. The interest in multimedia comes up in the survey. The trend to use multimedia can be seen as a fairly natural development in training, and it is not regarded as a completely new training method. Among the respondents, all from educational institutions, there was a high interest in learning multimedia. Already a third of respondents had used multimedia as a tool in training. Slightly more than half of the interviewed use training programs on PC. The most suitable training methods for the present work situations of the respondents were multiform training, self-motivated training and training exploiting multimedia. One good tangible idea that emerged for multimedia products was a job search study package for self-motivated learning. This idea probably concerns all the project participants and all sectors of adult education.
