Abstract

This paper describes developments carried out at GE Aircraft Engine Services (Wales) Ltd. (GEAES) in collaboration with Fusion, the Applied Research Centre of the School of Art, Media and Design, University of Wales College, Newport (UWCN). It examines the role of training as an element in corporate knowledge management, with particular reference to use of multimedia in archiving and transfer of tacit knowledge and proposes a model based on so-called “Naturalistic Knowledge Engineering”.
