Abstract

The ordered hetero-quasiepitaxial growth of alternating organic crystalline films is demonstrated by Richard R. Lunt and Pei Chen, which is enabled by a new organic–organic growth mode driven by step-edge nucleation, in article 1600401. Such growth, which is a longstanding goal in organic electronics, can enable new pathways to fabricate highly ordered organic superlattices for enhanced excitonic electronic devices.
