Abstract

A numerical scheme is presented in which a static micromagnetic calculation is performed using one of the multigrid methods, the V-cycle method. An equilibrium equation in which the discretized Laplacian of magnetization is solved is derived from the magnetic energy and relaxed in the V-cycle method based on the weighted Jacobi relaxation. Calculations made for a one-dimension Bloch wall and a flux-closure structure in Permalloy™ films show the validity and the versatility of the new scheme.
