Abstract
In this paper, a novel multifunctional antenna that can simultaneously generate orbital angular momentum (OAM) vortex electromagnetic wave and antenna RCS reduction is designed. By switching the ON/OFF state of the PIN diodes, reconfigurable antenna array for generating different OAM modes is achieved. Furthermore, the integration of the reconfigurable OAM antenna array and the microstrip antenna can reduce the in-band RCS of the microstrip antenna by more than 10dB without affecting the antenna performance.
