Multifuncionalidade rural: da teoria eficiente à prática ausente

Abstract

The work show some questions about rural multifunctionality, concept builded at Europe and come winning very large debates in all the world, inclusively in Brazil, meantime, is a concept that no work in reality. In a first moment, we will show the origin and the objectives of the concept about rural multifunctionality in the European Union. Next we will make the exposition of the application of this concept in reality, that is, we will ask about the effectuation of the multifunctionality in the practice. Also will be foundling the way of the rural politics of the European Union and Brazil, showing that with the intention to be strong the competitive agriculture, these continue in a second plan, being that the prevalence is the strong of the competitive agriculture/productivity. Like an example of the Brazilian situation, will be expose the historic of the intervention of the state to be favour the Brazilian agribusiness. This, in the seek for more areas to expand the production, builded a project to the planting sugarcane in the rural settlements in the Pontal of the paranapanema – SP, Brazil, that was accept for the public section (ITESP) and the settlements. For last one, we show the questions to the viability of the application the notion of rural multifunctionality like possessed of solutions to the reality for the Brazilian field.
